Let’s meet another one of our wholesale customers, the Tide Cafe, in Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria.
We had a chat with Craig about how it all started, how their customers enjoy their Lost Sheep Speciality Coffee and why you should pop in and visit them next time you're in the area.
1. Tell us your story – how did your journey begin?
I have been immersed in the hospitality industry since the age of 13, starting out as a kitchen porter and steadily working my way up through every level — from the heat of the kitchen to the responsibilities of hotel and restaurant management. Over the years, I've taken on some of the most demanding roles in the field, driven by a deep passion for delivering exceptional experiences. For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of running my own place. It always felt just out of reach — until recently, when the perfect opportunity came along at exactly the right moment.
2. What made you choose Lost Sheep Coffee as your coffee partner?
One of my main goals from the very beginning was to serve the best coffee in the area. I searched far and wide, trying countless options and doing my research. That’s when I came across Lost Sheep Coffee and its incredible reviews. After getting in touch and sampling it myself, I knew from the very first sip — this was the one. It was exactly what I wanted to serve, and I was confident it would help make us a must-visit spot for coffee lovers.
3. How do your customers most enjoy their Lost Sheep Coffee?
Most people come in for the classics — flat whites, cappuccinos, and lattes — and we’ve definitely seen a big rise in iced lattes lately, especially with the warm weather. It’s been great to see people not only loving the coffee, but coming back for their favourites again and again.
4. Aside from serving great coffee, why should people come and visit you?
We’ve created a warm, relaxed space where everyone feels welcome — whether you're catching up with friends, getting some work done, or bringing the kids along. We're proudly dog-friendly too, so your four-legged companions are always welcome. Our menu offers a full range of breakfast and lunch options, featuring all the classics plus some rotating specials to keep things interesting. And of course, there’s always plenty of cake — because no visit is complete without something sweet. We want everyone to leave feeling happy, full, and already looking forward to their next visit.
