Let’s meet another one of our wholesale customers, the Little Wave cafe, a stone's throw away from the beach in Broadstairs, Kent.
We had a chat with Katy about how it all started, how their customers enjoy their Lost Sheep Speciality Coffee and why you should pop in and visit them next time you're in the area.
1. Tell us your story – how did your journey begin?
We had always secretly dreamed of owning a cafe, but brushed the idea aside as impossible.
We spotted a place up for rent in Broadstairs and couldn't resist a viewing, and once we started dreaming, we couldn't stop. Our second daughter was due, so we thought our life wasn't busy enough! We eventually got the keys in August and turned it around in a week to open Little Wave for Folk Week, the busiest week in the Broadstairs calendar.
2. What made you choose Lost Sheep Coffee as your coffee partner?
We knew we wanted to source local products as much as possible and after tasting several great coffees, we both agreed Lost Sheep was by far our favourite. We loved the Get To The Hopper blend and knew it would be delicious for coffee nerds and newbies alike. plus the team have been so friendly and helpful, ever since we started.

3. How do your customers most enjoy their Lost Sheep Coffee?
Everyone seems to love an oat flat white or an iced latte at the moment; they're not going anywhere!
We love putting some fun specials on the drinks menu (we've got blueberry yuzu or raspberry rose right now) and we make all the syrups in-house.
4. Aside from serving great coffee, why should people come and visit you?
Our most popular item is definitely our meze box; it's a pick' n 'mix of delicious things (falafel, hummus, dips, salads) and you can customise it how you like; vegan, veggie or add some meat. we also serve our brunch menu all day and have just launched ice cream for the summer.
5. Describe what customers can experience when they visit you?
We might be little, but we're big on flavour! We make pretty much everything from scratch, which is a lot of work in the kitchen, but makes such a difference to the final product. We love serving fresh and vibrant dishes, as well as homemade cakes and of course exceptional coffee, all in a relaxed atmosphere, 2 minutes from the beach.
6. Can you describe Lost Sheep Coffee in just three words?
Local. Friendly. Yellow.
7. Where can people find you online?
Our website isn't live yet (sorry!), but you can find us on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
