The average coffee farmer in Cauca, Huila, and Nariño has about 1.5 hectares of coffee land and will produce only about 50 bags of coffee per harvest. During the few months of harvest season, they will bring the family farms coffee beans to town on a Saturday (10 or so bags of pergamino, or parchment coffee) to sell.
This lot is from various smallholders from the town of Pitalito, Huila. All the coffee chosen for this lot scored between 84-85 out of a max score of 100, giving a high quality and consistent coffee bean.
